Google Data Studio is a wonderful tool to make quality dashboards, it connects and works perfect with Google products, but it is a headache for those of us who work with different sources such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and others. Read in this article my personal opinion about Facebook connectors for Data Studio in the market.

📊Which is the best Data Studio connector for Facebook?
I’m going to get to the point, Supermetrics for Data Studio is the best option, I have tested it for more than a year despite all the changes it has had. The most important thing is that it not only brings a connector for Facebook, it has a lot of data sources to connect, List of Supermetrics connectors. They have support and although it is not a cheap tool, its price is competitive in the market. Supermetrics is a totally versatile, scalable and functional tool. It has saved me more than once and helps me save time in my presentation of results.

📈Other options similar to Supermetrics, Connectors for Data Studio
Like you, I’ve been looking for an intuitive, versatile, inexpensive (hopefully free) solution to implement in my reports for quite some time, but I haven’t found it. I’m not a software developer and I can’t find a hack that works. However, a few months ago I came across a tool very similar to Supermetrics that works perfectly and has a good price to start. I’m talking about DataSlayer, an alternative from Spain that offers Data Studio connector and Google sheets plug-in.
Dataslayer is a very competitive alternative to Supermetrics in its spreadsheet and Data Studio products. It is even possible to migrate queries from Supermetrics to Dataslayer. See here for a review of this tool.
Below, I will list some of the other tools that I have seen but am still not entirely convinced by:
Their landing page does not show their prices and the smallest is for agencies. The tool must be expensive and doesn’t seem affordable for freelancers or small businesses.
Starts from USD $399. No words. Expensive and complex, in my opinion it comes with many sources and must work amazing, however, the price is very high.
There is no pricing on their website, I see some limitations of sources to connect. It only connects to advertising platforms.
It works using queries from SQL. If you know how to use this language it might work for you.
7. Report Dash
Starts from USD $19/month but can only use 2 accounts from your data sources. It has demos that show its performance. On the other hand, it is not fully Google Data Studio, it works with a number of modules and I don’t know to what extent you can use all the elements of Google Data Studio freely.
8. Data relate
It seems to be the solution, USD $24 a month would be perfect and the demo video works fine. But do NOT sign up. Personally I tried it and it doesn’t work, again there is that annoying series of modules that don’t allow you to work and as for support? Don’t bother looking because they don’t have any.
9. Power my Analytics
Interesting tool, has a calculator to quote the number of data sources and accounts needed. Still above average in price. According to a few of the videos on YouTube, the tool works. I would give it a try.
The list goes on, but the offer is geared towards larger businesses and agencies. Prices get more expensive by the month.
🤘 Is there a free Facebook connector for Data Studio?
Most tools have a 14-day trial that you can use without any problem. However; Dataslayer, offers the possibility to use 10 queries per day for free in its Google Sheets plug-in, try it here at least to save you for a few days 👇
