Data source
By default, Google Data Studio doesn’t connect to Facebook, so you need to use the Supermetrics connector to be able to use the template. Click on “create data source”.
Choose Supermetrics
Type Supermetrics in the search bar and then search and select the Facebook Ads card.
Connection Supermetrics – Data Studio
Supermetrics will ask you for authorization to connect your Google account with its platform. You must authorize and allow, in this step Supermetrics gives you 14 days of free trial to use.

Authorize Supermertrics to access your Facebook account, the pages and advertising accounts you manage to access all their information.
Selection of advertising accounts
Select the advertising accounts you want to give Supermetrics access to, in order to display in your Google Data Studio reports. Or simply choose “All accounts”. Then click “connect”.
Add data source to the report
Google Data Studio shows you here all the metrics and dimensions it can extract from Facebook Ads, just click on “add to report”.
Copy the report
You go back to the first screenshot, at this point your data source is already created and ready to display information. Just click on “Facebook Ads” and then on the “copy report” button.
